Indian weddings are extravagant; with events happening for the entire week sometimes. With that said, the food served is also abundant. The families of the groom and bride will select the best restaurant to manage the fare to be consumed by their guests. I have been to weddings in Malaysia where the hosts engaged caterer and event planners to organize buffet meals, and the infrastructure including decorations as well. The foodie is usually a combination of vege and non-vege dishes. If you want to suggest more, feel free!
