We took off with AirAsia from the fly-infested LCCT :( landed in Langkawi airport. The fun part was we saw a few of hub's friends on the same flight as guests had to travel to the island specially for the wedding. The resort was cosy. Our room was in one of the huts spread across the resort hilly compound. The hotel provides shuttle service if you do not wish to walk. We walked to the ceremony location where blue ribbon furnished chairs, solemnization altar, white cloth and pastel flower petals carpeted aisle await us. Nice!

Having experienced the entire wedding proceedings, I felt like I got to know the couple in person, Thanks to the well-planned events when their friends and family spoke about their relationship and all of us were having fun together. Apart from the hosts, the credit also goes to the hotel's PIC for a job well done. The service was good. The attendants made sure that our glasses were always filled, new plate was replenished when needed and there was a team of technical personnel who took care of the sound system, lighting, music and video projection.
Food wise, the butter prawn was superb. The rest of the dishes was just ok and not fantastic. I was enjoying myself, entertained by the live band, heartfelt speeches and we did quite a bit of dancing that night. The wedding planner seemed extremely enthusiastic. She danced together with us, casually mingling with the hosts. The Grand Ballroom accommodated about 20 tables, a bar section and dance floor space. The ballroom was nice but not very grand.

cool breeze so much I didn't want to take the ride down. So we just stayed at the sky station for a bit snapping images of the island scenery.
