Wedding Songs in Different Languages

The song HOME performed by Rhumba Live Band featuring Kenny on keyboard + vocalist, Nick on Guitar, Small on Drums and Jacky on Saxophone. I think Kenny sings English songs very well as I could feel the strong emotions that he pours out in his singing. Jacky great on saxophone as always. This song is about the longing to go home. When you are single your home is probably your parents' house, but once married going home is going back to your spouse, a stranger who has become your most beloved.

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home

May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky, I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
This was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
In either Paris or Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel alone
And let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It'll all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

The title of this Mandarin song is "The Most Important Decision".  It is funny that for newly weds, even quarrel is fun, you don't win or lose or hold grudges. When you decide to tie the knot, you accept everything about the other half, both good and bad. The singer Catherine (Rhumba Live Band) has a very soothing and relaxing voice well suited for ballads.

(Christine Fan)

Debbie Su from The Raw Note sings the Korean song 'Everytime' with a lot of enthusiasm. People love surprises, what is better than a nice K-pop song from the well known Korean drama 'Descendants of the Sun'. Malaysian ladies love their K-dramas. It will be fun and will definitely light up your wedding celebration.

I have always loved the voice of Chris from The Raw Note, I like the fullness and depth of his voice. Covering a Cantonese song by Hong Kong superstar and skillful singer Jacky Cheung 爱是永恒 'Love is Forever', he is doing not bad at all.

(Jacky Cheung)

Repeat *

A Vintage Wedding

Vintage wedding fashion is a definite head-turner as it is different and something that people don't see everyday. The old trends, made popular in those days, are making a comeback as they are timeless. Check out your parents' wedding photos, you can be inspired. MUAs these days are well trained to create all sorts of hair designs and makeup styles. I am amazed by the stunning intricate plaits which match the dress with flower embroidery for a retro Chinese traditional look. You can go for a more traditional Chinese Shanghai style, the retro Hollywood glitz, casual bohemian, sixties pillbox hat, gatsby, etc. There are also other tips such as photography location, where to find your vintage gown, car rental and photography vendors. Decorate the wedding venue with china plates, wooden boxes, succulents, antiques.

Victoria Wedding Gallery (Abbey Choo's work)
Kudos to its PG (Wedding Acronym) Abbey Choo who is a certified professional photographer WPPA. I'm no photography expert but to me the photos are incredible. It really depends on one's preference though. BTBs on forums couldn't stop praising her. I always like dreamy and "I'm in fantasy land" photographs, a good combination of photo taking and editing skills. The right pose, angle, lighting, selection of background and camera settings make significant difference here. She is like a piece of hot cake, fast selling, book her as quickly as you could. However some samples of actual photos of previous Victorian brides posted online are not as great, no doubt good.

All the gowns are available for PS, no segregation of super duper VVIP dresses and extra charges for them. The selection is not big and some gowns are quite dated. I personally like Penken's makeup skill (she turned my friend into an angel) but hair-styling not so. Here's a very neat video of the photoshoot and shots of edited pictures nicely put together by Victoria:

Discussions and Reviews:
Dec 2013
Early of this year i signed a package of wedding photo & video shooting with Victoria.
Below is my package from begining till end of marrige.
I) ROM - Photograph & Video at "Tian Hou" Tempel, Seputeh.
2) Wedding album - Photograph & Short video (indoor and outdoor)
3) Actual day morning & dinner at night - Photograph & Video
I just finish my wedding dinner at The Gardens Hotel - Midvalley on 14th December 2013. Just 1 word to praise their team "Excellent" and "Professional". Everything go smooth on that night. The team consist of 5 people.Head Photography - Abbey, Head of Videography- Mr. Yeong and their great assistant - Ms. Jess. The team communicated very well and keep on update us what to do. The team also liaise with my "tai kam jie" on MOrning session and liaise with my Singer & Emcee as well on dinner time.
Such a great arrangement. We as the host no need to worry at all and i feel like i am super star on the whole day.
The team start to take photo and video from morning on my actual day 7am - 1.30pm.
Then they go to The Gardens Hotel ballroom to edit the photo and video, where my dinner is at there.
The Cocktail start at 7pm and they the team start again till 11.30pm. They are very patient to wait us to take photo n video until i told them no more guest and they can go home.
Really worth to signed with Victoria. No regret in my life to pay for the whole package.
Will go there again for photoshoot in future as a pregnant mom.
Album design noting special I can do better than them. Service before payment is great, but the service after payment is bad. Not too good.

Recommended by my cousin. Experience: Overall, it was just OK for me. The gowns are pretty dated (in my opinion). One of the owner didn't allow me to try on more than 3 gowns, unless I sign up a package with them - they were conversing in Chinese, expecting I couldn't understand the language. We didn't get much attention from this particular one owner, because we were looking to just rent a gown. Honestly, I've seen better bridal photography, I guess Abbey is overrated - just my opinion. I've read many positive reviews on this shop, probably I would be treated differently if I was looking to sign-up a deal with them? *photo taking is NOT allowed in bridal shop*

Photoshoot at Sekinchan

Sekinchan is a small town located at about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur (after Klang-Kuala Selangor-Tanjung Karang). Sekinchan, which literally means “village suitable for plantation” in Chinese, lives up to its name as almost its entire landscape is covered by wide and well-irrigated paddy fields. This can be one of your stops but make sure you go at the right time of the year to get the scenery, mood and feel that you want. You can drive right beside the paddy fields on the roads connecting the a small village (Site A) located in the center of the Sekinchan paddy fields.

For views of a fishing village and boats drop by Bagan in Sekinchan. This fishing village is located along the river and a small seaport. You will find some new shop houses which are mainly seafood restaurants where the crew can have a delicious fresh seafood lunch.

Pantai Redang (Redang Beach), a hidden beach in Sekinchan is worth a visit. In fact, it is very near the seafood restaurants area at Bagan, so you can go to Redang Beach after a nice seafood meal. You can take an unbeaten track along the coastal line, away from the jetty, on the way you will find a nice and secluded spot for birding, especially egrets, waders, and terns. There is a Tree house at Redang Beach Sekinchan with swings and hammocks made from fishing net. Go there for the sunset shot, it will be amazing.
