DAMAI INDAH, a traditional Bugis schooner, began her life
as a traditional inter-island cargo vessel in Sulawesi/Indonesia in
1987. Eva (captain of the boat) bought this boat in Dec 2008 and she was renovated and converted to become a charter boat.
Ever since she carried thousands of guests around the stunning archipelago of Langkawi. She is the perfect vessel for those guests
that love the charm of stylish wooden boats. Food is cooked fresh on the boats either by Eva herself or by a
professional chef and caters as much as possible for all
nationalities and diets. The bar is always well stocked up and includes most
popular drinks and spirits. The cruising area is the north east of
Langkawi, close to Thailand and covers the most beautiful islands of the
archipelago; far off the beaten track. Additionally the boat comes
with a rubber-dinghy that carries a 15 hp outboard engine and can
accommodate up to 5 people to discover the surrounding islands.
The team can arrange wedding parties even until late at night or combine it with an overnight stay. Captain Eva and her amazing crew – Kamar, Harry and Alan turned an ordinary day to the day the bride and groom would remember for the rest of their lives. She prepared the most beautiful ceremony with flowers, cake, AMAZING food. Eva was kind enough to even make the bride’s hair. Henry and Allan took care of photos and videos. Eva and Damai Indah is highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique once in a lifetime wedding experience. Thanks to her enthusiasm and great attitude to get things done, she turned an ordinary day to the day we will remember for the rest of our lives. She prepared the most beautiful ceremony with flowers, cake, AMAZING food and so much more and we still can’t really believe that it was us being so lucky. Eva was kind enough to even make my hair and what a great job she did! Our witnesses were her best crew Henry and Allan who took care of photos and videos and we can’t thank them enough for making our day even better. We met Captain Eva as a complete stranger, but when we were leaving she was already part of our family. I would 100% recommend to take a cruise with her on the boat Damai Indah, to anyone who wants to have an amazing day full of fun or even to someone who wants to do something as crazy as we did.
