Some reviews are the person-in-charge lacks the experience in handling a wedding event properly. Building is a little dated but nice interior. Beautiful ballroom. Good food and location within PJ, 750m from Taman Jaya LRT Station. Most staffs are friendly and helpful.

We were invited to my cousin’s wedding reception at The PJ Hilton. Somehow the service at our table fell short. Not all of us were asked if we wanted a drink. The waiter had to be told to ask each one of us. The food did not quite make the mark as our expectations were high. As the kitchen had to cater to a very big figure, somehow this happens. As we had an executive chef at our table he was upset with the sort of service we were given. All in all we did enjoy the happy occasion and the lovely party made up for it. PJ Hilton you need to retrain your local and foreign staff to be of a higher standard, to keep up with the service quality.
Having a wedding banquet there soon, terrible service! The staff turnover is very high and lack of experience. Maybe the management is did not offer proper training. Everything is so messy and their staff tend to over promise you with everything. For example, they promise you to have a wide colour range of table cloth but in the end they mentioned that there’s only two choice, White or Black! Guys, how ridiculous can this be? Is this a wedding or a funeral? When they cannot deliver, they will just push the blame back to the customer saying that it is not stated in the contract etc. They will verbally promise you everything and tell you not to worry about it. When it is almost the actual day, they will tell you that most of the things they promised are not included and they will ask you to pay extra for it. I don’t mind paying extra for it if they mentioned it from the start, however I did not respect a 5 star hotel using such dirty tricks. Maybe this is due to lack of leadership in PJ Hilton as Peter Webster has just been promoted to the Regional General Manager and is now based in Singapore.
As for the rooms condition, when we brought to have look at the bridal suite, there are many light bulbs that are not working. We pointed out to the account manager and he said that they will fix it and it will not happen on our actual day. I am now started to doubt every single word or promises made by them!
We are still in the midst of discussion to see what feedback PJ Hilton is going to provide us. Really very dissapointed on how a reputable hotel treats its customer.
