Winning the hearts of the judges and garnering the most votes beating the other contestants, Shila Amzah became the winner of reality singing talent show, Asian Wave 2012 held in Shanghai. The young Malaysian singer was also the runner-up in Malaysia’s very own reality singing competition, One in a Million in 2008 when she was only 18 years old. Ayu took home the first prize that season. My husband showed me a video of her performance in the preliminary round shared on Facebook, I thought she was really charismatic and she looked kinda cute.
I pick the song she sang in the qualifying round “Forever Love” originally sung by Lee Hom. This song is all about love that will last a lifetime, what other song is more relevant for weddings! The close to perfect pronunciation and melodious rendition of the Chinese song left the judges dropped their jaws in awe.

Shila presented the song with a lot of passion at Awal and Scha’s wedding. She was accompanied by beau Sharnaaz Ahmad both looked striking in bright orange Malay traditional clothes.
